Halloween!!!

Hey Sorry I have not posted in awhile but here are the halloween pics. We went to the Cats Baseball Field and had an awesome time. They did a huge Fireworks Show at the end of Trick or Treating and the kids loved it. I hope you enjoy all of the pics. I will have some of John and Jacob to post in the next couple of weeks their football season is over and we have their party tonight. They are super excited to get their very first football trophies. Melvin's team managed to make it to the playoffs and now its a waiting game to see when his season will be over. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures.

I know its been awhile since the last time I posted, but with Football, Dance & School for everyone its been just a little bit crazy around the Joyner Household. Not to mention we just celebrated John, Jacob & Alison's 5th birthday!! I cannot believe that they are already 5 time really does fly by so we all need to take a break and smell the roses. Anyway Daddy is finishing up their present which is a handmade and massive Tree Fort right next to our tree in the backyard. All that is left to do is put up the Firemans pole and the sandbox underneath it. I will post some pics of it as soon as we get it finished. Also the kids are putting on a program for us this Thrusday at school it is Stone Soup Supper so I will be posting some pics from that also. I really dont have any pictures right now to post but I am working on a video to put on here of John, Jacob and Alison of the last 5 years. I get very emotional looking at pictures of them in the hospital and seeing how healthy they are now and how much they have grown.

Football and the Rain!!!

As everyone knows you dont stop playing football unless it is lightening. Well atleast not in Tackle, on Monday it had been raining off and on all day long well at 5:15 Jacob and John's coach called and said they would be canceling practice because of the weather. So as I am getting Melvin ready hoping the same phone call would come it never did so Me and Melvin were off to Football Practice. When we get there it starts pouring down rain and I backed the van into a parking spot raised the hatch on the van and sat inside the back of the van and watched him practice. Melvin thought it was pretty cool that he was playing in the rain. As practice kept going the more and more he is covered in mud. Not just a little bit but pretty much from head to toe and there was no way he was getting in my car with those clothes on him. After practice I get him stripped down in the back of the van and we come home where Lee had him a bath waiting. I did not take my camera to the practice with me so I did not get the full affect of the mud but I did take some pics on his practice uniform before washing it yesterday. So here they are.....by the way his shirt is white and actually came clean after washing it, but its all muddy again now...

On another quick note John, Jacob and Alison turned 5 this past Sunday and I will post some more about the weekend later, I have to get some pics together for that post.

1st Day of School!!!

So this was the picture that Melvin wanted as his 1st day of 1st Grade photo. I told him to get still and smile and he bent down touched his knees and gave me a big ol' smile. He is off to 1st grade and is very excited about it. I will post some more this week after we know how it went. I hope everyone has a great week.

Its Football Time!!!

So here we are again and its Football Season Again!!!! We are super excited this year because not only is this Melvin's 3rd year it will be John & Jacobs 1st year. So since its Melvins 3rd year he is now in full contact tackle football, I cant believe it. So I thought I would post a pic of him in his Football get up atleast the practice gear. I dont have any pics of the boys because they are in flag and they practice in shorts and shirts also the coach keeps all of their helmets, so I will get pics once they start practicing. Also I could have put Alison in football but I was afraid she would have shown up all of the boys out there and I also wanted to get her away from all of the boy stuff, So my little princess starts dance on Wednesday. She is going to be in tap and ballet so I will post some pics of her after Wedneday. I hope everyone enjoys these few pictures. Also Melvin starts first grade tomorrow and I will post some pics of his first day of school. The little guys start school next Tuesday and will be going for two days a week this year. Playing in the MUD!!

So we have had lots of rain the past couple of days and the kids have been stuck in the house. So yesterday I got them dressed in some play clothes and sent the boys outside. Alison was inside playing with her friend Madyson. I was wanting to get a picture of all of the boys as messy as they were but they managed to get into a ant pile and I had to hose all of them off I took this pic with my phone to send to Lee. So this is Jacob having fun in the mud. I hope all of you enjoy this pic. I will post some more soon, school starts on Monday so I will have some of Melvin's first day of school. Melvin is Home!!!

Well for the past week we have been missing one of our Crew. Melvin went to Georgia and Florida with his Sha-Sha and Granddaddy!!!! Oh yea and uncle Brady. They went to Georgia to see Lee's Grandmother, they also got to see Lee's Granny which is actually Melvin's Great Great Grandmother. Then the little turkey got to go to Panama City Beach, Florida (our favorite vacation site) He ate at Pineapple Willy's and got to swim in the ocean at the Jetty. I am very glad he had a great time and was able to go on a little vacation before school starts. I will have to post some pictures but I will need to get them from his Sha-Sha first.

Also this past weekend we went to a Birthday Celebration for one of my best friends kids, its funny how God places people in your life. Me and Deanna met while the kids were in the hospital she had her quads on August 12 and I had mine on September 7. We met when we were scrubbing in to the NICU. She noticed that I had Triplets because of my wrist bands. And ever since then we have been the best of friends and so have the kids. She has Twin boys who turned 9 and the little guys who just turned 5. So me and the little ones went to Hawiian Falls Water Park and helps celebrate all 5 of their birthdays at the same time. That was quiet nice to get it over with at the same time. My guys loved the fact that they went to the water park, they went down the slides and just enjoyed being in the water. I will also have to post some pics of them later but I will have to get those from Deanna.

School will be starting soon, Melvin will be in 1st grade and the little guys are going to Mothers Day Out and except it will be for 2 days this year.

Goodbye Wishbone!!

So most of you know at one point we had 2 dogs, one was a mix breed not really sure what he was anyways last summer he completly turned on us and would not let us outside in the backyard. We had gotten rid of him last summer. Then we were left with one, a very attention wanting Beagle named Wishbone. After about a year and a half with him, we decieded a couple of weeks ago to let him go and find him a new home. With all of the activities that the kids are going to be doing we just did not spend enough quality time with him. So I listed him on Craigslist and within 20 min. of the posting being on there I was getting calls from alot of people wanting him. On July 24th we found a new home for him, he now has a another Beagle to play with and through emails that I recieved from his new owner he is very happy. The kids were a little upset but after about 3 days I have not heard anything about him. Also they are spending alot more time outside and I am sure that its because he is not out there jumping on them. So this is goodbye to Wishbone!!!

Fourth of July!!!

So I know its been a week since the 4th but Lee has been off all week and we have just been so busy. Here are some pics from the 4th. I will have more pics later. We had purchased a pool and I need to get my pics from the water camera developed. The kids love the pool they would sleep in it if I would let them so would Lee for that matter. By the way Lee and I had are 7th anniversary on Monday the 7th. Its funny to think that we have been married for 7 years, but we have been together including dating for 10 years now it seems like forever. Anyways here are some pics of the kids playing with their poppers on the 4th. I hope ya'll enjoy the pics.

Melvin & Jacob's Self Haircuts

So Sunday we went to Eagle Mountain Park and went on a nice walk, we found a great clear spot by the lake Lee and the kids went swimming in the lake. Well we get home and everyone is getting ready to take a nap and Lee gets a call and has to go to work. Me and the kids take us a nap well apparently Melvin either did not take a nap or woke up before me and decided to give himself a haircut. We asked him why he did it and it was because he likes haircuts. I probably would not have been so upset about having to shave all of his hair off but we just went on the 1st and got his hair cut. So that was 12.00 wasted!!! Here are some pics of my beautiful son before his self hair cut!!!

This is after we had to fix his hair from his self haircut!! I am so sad that my little boy has a shaved head. Atleast it will be all grown out before school starts!!

Apparently Jacob thought it would be great to shave his head with the shears!! We have not fixed his hair yet we are still trying to deciede what to do with it. John did it also but his was not that noticable so we are just going to let his grow out.

All of the sissors and shears have been put up and will only be out if I am able to watch them. I hope everyone enjoys the funny pictures.

My New Hair Cut

I just wanted to write a little post about my new hair cut!! My hair was right below my shoulder blades (when I let it hang down straight). I went to get a hair cut the other day and got it all cut off!!! The front is right at my chin and the back is way shorter than I have ever had it. It is completly off of my neck. I do not have any pics yet but I will take some and post them here. It is so much easier and only takes me about 5-10 minutes to fix it. So NO MORE PONYTAILS FOR ME!!!! That was the big reason for me cutting it off. I was tired of ponytails and it got all of the dead hair off from all of the coloring that I have done. Not to say I wont highlight my hair again but just not right now. Also Melvin's last day of school is today he gets out of school at 12:00 and he is looking forward to getting out of school early!!!

School is Ending!!

John, Jacob & Alison's last day of school was yesterday. I dont really think that they understand it because Melvin is still in school. They got a end of school year book with all of the stuff that they learned throughout the year. It was really cool to see what all they have learned and all that they have remembered. Also we got school pictures the guy made me a good deal, he told me that if I would purchase all of the packages which were $20.00 a piece he would give me all of them for $40.00 because of having to purchase 3. Some people give me breaks which I am grateful for and some just dont care and assume because we have Triplets that we have alot of money. Melvin gets out of school next Thursday at 12:00 and he cant wait to get out it is getting to be a struggle to get him off to school everyday. We dont have alot of plans for the summer but I am sure between all of the toys in the backyard and swimming at the YMCA we will have a fun summer.

Jacob and The Broken Toilet

So our one and only working Toilet in the house was not working properly and here is the story... John came up to me one day and said "Jacob flushed Melvin's comb in the toilet." So from that day on we assumed when we took the toilet off to get it out we would find a small comb. Well weeks went by and the toilet just was not flushing right and once again we assumed that there was a comb in it and was causing toilet paper and other stuff not to go down. Yesterday I finally got tired of having to pluge the toilet after every flush and then flush it 3 times. So Lee took the whole toilet off in the bathroom at which point all the kids needed to use the bathroom. Once again only working toilet!! We finally get it turned over and we can see whats in there and it does not look like a comb. Lee gets a wire clothes hanger and pushes the item back through the curves of the toilet and it finally comes out. And here is the cause of all of my Toilet Problems.
When then get all of the kids in the bathroom and ask who flushed this in the toilet. One by one they all say not me until we get to Jacob and he says I did it. I am just not sure what I am going to do with him. We told them if we catch them playing in the toilet again they would get in big trouble. I hope everyone enjoys my little story and I still want to know how that thing got that far down into the toilet. Some things will have to be left a mystery. Hopefully by the end of June we will have the other bathroom finished so that the kids can stay out of mine and I know then I will have atleast one working toilet.

Bean Bag Chairs!!!

So as most of y'all know we had a BIG sectional sofa. Well two parts of the sofa was broken, so we fixed it to just be a sleeper sofa. So since we don't have a large couch for all of us to sit on we bought the kids some bean bag chairs... They absolutely love them. Melvin has the Black one, John has the Blue one, Alison has the Pink one and Jacob has the Green one...

Train Ride and Aquarium

So one Saturday we went on a train ride to Dallas and then went to the Dallas Aquarium it was a great day but it was a very long day...

The new Air Conditioner

Ok so last week we decided to get a new A/C for our family room. This room was an addition and does not get very cold with the central unit. Anyway we got it installed and it works great. Well apparently the Ceiling Fan figured since we got the new A/C that we did not need it anymore and....
It fell out of the ceiling... Luckily for us it happened in the middle of the night. None of us woke up and I am shocked. When Lee got up the next morning he found it on the floor. I forgot to take a picture before he took it outside. I am just gratefull that we were not up because this is our main room and its where the kids like to play all of the time.

Bluebonnets

So before more rain came this week we went and took some Bluebonnet Pictures. John is on the left he never looks at the camera when you want him to, Jacob is sitting beside him and his is my smiling pants. He has a smile on his face from the moment he wakes up till he goes to sleep. Melvin is in the middle and I just cannot believe how big he has gotten. And of course our little princess who now would rather wear a dress over shorts. We had lots of fun and I hope yall enjoy the picture.

No Power

So last week the power went out all over our neighborhood. We did not have power and neither did Melvins School. I sent him to school thinking that the power would be back on within a couple of hours. Well to top this off it was his Birthday and when the power was not on at 10 I decided to go and get him out of school. I will never do that again... He loves school so much that he pretty much was cranky all day because he wanted to be back at school. Sha-Sha took us out to lunch at Red Lobster and then we went to the party store to get some stuff for a small party he was getting on Saturday at the park. Then we went to the French Bakery for a Birthday Dessert. It turned out to be a great day but unless they send him home or he doesnt go to school in the morning, I will never take him out again atlest not at this age. I will post pictures soon of all of us. I have a bunch...

Working Out

So I have decided to get healthy and try to lose all of the weight that I have gained over the past years. So I am not going on fade diets, quick fixes, diet pills... I am doing it the old fashioned way, excersize and making better eating choices. I have gotten into the habit of going to the gym in the mornings after we drop off Melvin at school. The kids love it because they get to go to the Y and play with lots of friends. I enjoy it because for that 1-2 hours a day its all about me and I dont have enough of that time for me. So far in about 1 1/2 months I have lots around 17 pounds which is a little over the 2 pounds a week for a normal weigth lost. I can definantly feel it in my clothes and I enjoy seeing how loose my clothes are fitting me. Anyways this blog is just about me so I will update on the kiddos soon.

Melvin's New Room

Just wanted to show everyone what we did last weekend. We decieded to give Melvin his own room by turning the toy room into his room. He is really enjoying it. When he gets home from school he goes in there and I dont see him very often. There is not alot of fighting anymore between the him and the other kids. I still have some touch up painting to do but other than that we are through with it. Melvin's favorite comments about the room are "This is totally awesome" and " This room is perfect". I will either be doing Alison's or the Boys room I am not sure which one yet. Alison wants princess' and the boys want a frog and monkey room. That room shcould be interesting. I hope everyone is doing well. We will talk to everyone soon.

Snow Again!!!

So it snowed again just 3 days after the last snow. This time there was a definant snow fall. Here are some pictures of the kids playing in the snow. They had a blast playing outside. This was taken in the front yard. Alison is posing for the picture.
This was a close up shot of Melvin you can see how hard the snow was coming down at this time.
The kids were trying to make a snowman of the trampoline because our dog kept messing up the one they were making on the ground.
This is a picture of John and Jacob playing on the sandbox.
Everyone had a blast and all of the kids kept telling me their hands were cold. We dont have very cold weather here so they did not have gloves but the socks worked out well. One week later its going to be 80 degrees today and 90 degrees tomorrow. What crazy weather we have in Texas definantly if you dont like the weather just wait a couple of days and it will change.

Its really hard to tell in these pictures, but the kids were playing in the falling snow. We have had such a mild winter I was not sure we would get to see any snow and here it is March and its snowing. The first pic is Melvin. John is in the yellow jacket. Hey I was looking through the computer to save all of the pictures on a disk just in case my computer goes down and I found all of the pictures. I cannot believe how much the kids have grown. It makes me so sad.

Here is Melvin after digging into his first Easter Basket. Can you tell he was ejoying it. On another note the cradel in the background was made my Lee and his dad for Brady and then Melvin used it. Unfortunantly I couldnt fit 3 kids into it.

This was one of the first pictures of all of the Babies all together in the NICU. I cannot believe how small they were, they have definantly grown a whole bunch.
Once again Melvin in Chocolate, this was his first visit from Santa and he left him lots of toys and candy. YUM!!!
I found this picture and thought all would like to see what I looked like when I went in for delivery of the babies. Wasnt I pretty... Look at that belly!!!
And this one was at my baby shower for John, Jacob & Alison. It was a week after they were born. Dont I look good for just having Triplets.
This one was the babies First Christmas Picture, I took it at home because we could not go out because it was RSV season.

This is just another candid shot. They are in matching Tommy Hilfiger outfits, they are just different colors. I loved these outfits. Alison looks like she could eat her brothers. John is in the blue and Jacob is in red.
I love this picture this is Melvin in the bathtub. He looks like his Daddy so much, we have a picture of Lee just like this one.
This was a sleeping picture of the Babies in the NICU at the hospital. The nurses were really good at wrapping the kids up in the blankets. I could not do it that well they would always wiggle out of mine. They are in birth order John is on the left, Jacob is in the middle and Alison is on the right.

Late Update

Sorry everyone I havent been keeping up with the blog like I would like to... Well since the last post we have started basketball games every weekend and practice every Friday. We have been very busy with school and spending lots of time with the family. Unfortunantly last week Melvin stayed home on Thursday because he wasnt feeling good and he was running a little fever. Well on Friday he was still sick and I started not feeling good either. Needless to say by Sunday we were all sick. I believe it was a case of the Flu and we are just now starting to get better. Melvin went back to school today YEA!! I will post more pictures when I have more time. I hope everyone is doing good. I am off to disinfect the house.

Christmas

I know its a little late but we have been busy!!! So here are some of the Christmas pics there are just so many that I cannot post all of them. We had a wonderful Christmas and a Great New Year!! Lee has started a new job and he is home at night and on the weekends for the most part. There is some that he has to work but not many. The kids and I have really enjoyed him being home and able to eat dinner with us and help with bed time routines.

Sha-Sha bought all of the kids dress up outfits and this was his. Here is Melvin as a Construction worker. He looks like his Daddy and Granddaddy.

Here is my little Doctor John. He goes around the house giving everyone pretend shots.

This is Jacob the Train Conductor, it just so happened that Santa Clause brought this Train set to him for Christmas.
And last but not least Our Little Princess Alison dressed up as Snow White. Isn't she pretty.
Uncle Brady went to Colorado over Christmas Break and they bought this Frog hat for him so when they got home Brady gave to Jacob "The Frog Boy" as we call him.

I will post more pictures in a little while, we have started Basketball and I have alot of action shots from that. The kids are really enjoying it and John, Jacob and Alison's coach calls Alison their star player. She gets out there and really knows how to dribble the ball and last week she made her first goal. I am glad that they enjoy going out there and having fun. I will talk to everyone soon.

Hey we went to Prairie Lights the other night, which is a drive through Christmas Lights Park. While we where there we was able to see Santa Clause. The kids had a Blast and really enjoyed all of it. After taking this picture I had to take Alison and Jacob to the Dr's because they were running a little fever and Alison told me her throat hurt, my worst fear came true, we had Strep Throat, as of today I just had to call my Pediatrician to get them to call in some more Prescriptions because Melvin and John are showing the signs of it. Also Melvin is coughing so bad today that we are having to do breathing treatments as well. Hopefully after this weekend we will be feeling better and everyone can go to school next week.. Melvin's Thanksgiving Activites

This game is they had beans in a basket plate and they were red on one side and white on the other. The kids held the baskets up and let them fall and then colored how many beans on the plate were red on a piece of paper.

Melvin had some Thanksgiving Activities today at School here are some of the pictures that I had taken. This one is him wearing his colar and hat.

Counting Cranberries he had to predict how many that he would be able to pick up with just one handfull. He said 4 but he got 13, he under estimated his hand size.
At this activity they are learning how the Pilgrams churned their own butter. The kids did it by shaking whipping cream in baby food jars.
This was just a game that maybe the kids would have played back then. Tossing a piece of cloth in the air to see how many times that they could hit it up before it hit the ground.
This one they were making Cornbread to eat later with their homemade butter.
I enjoyed watching play and getting to see him in school. It definantly was a fun experience. Now he is off for 1 week for thanksgiving break. Yeah!!!

Football Party

We had our end of the year Football Party tonight. We had lots of fun, he recieved a Trophy, a Bucket with lots of fun goodies in it, another bucket with some Popcorn and a new football. A special Thanks needs to go to Nana Sha Sha for watching John, Jacob and Alison so that this day could be all about Melvin. We have an activities at school this Friday for Thanksgiving so I will post new pics then. I hope everyone has a wonderfull week.

Halloween

It was a great Halloween, We have gotten way more candy than we will ever need. I just recently re did the kitchen and I threw out the candy left over from last year.

Silly Kids

Well here are my silly kids. The boys found these outfits in their closets and put them on and said we look alike not realizing that they definantly look similar anyways.
This is all 4 of them left to right Alison, John, Melvin & Jacob. Alison was mad because she could not take a picture with the boys. It would have been the above picture.
This is Alison and her silly face. That is only face a mother could love.
Melvin wanted to take a picture of them doing a silly face so here is my silly faced kids. They are in the same order as above.

WE CAN READ!!!!

Today Melvin brought home a little reading book of words that he has already learned through the past 8 weeks of school. Me and him sat down tonight and read through the book and after about 4 times with me reading it with I am glad he got it down. We called lots of people to let them know that we now know how to read. I am so proud of him and the excitement on his face the first time he read it by himself was definitely priceless. This is just the beginning of reading and I definitely am ready for it. I cant wait until he can read to the little kids and keep them entertained. I hope everyone is doing well. I will talk to everyone later.

Daddy's Off to Work

Hey everyone just wanted everyone to start praying for me. Lee has just left to go to Vancouver, WA for 3 to 4 Weeks. I am glad he is working but it is really hard on all of us when he is gone this long. Halloween is coming up and we already have our costumes. Levi is going to be Optimus Prime and John, Jacob & Alison are going to be Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinkerbell. I will post pictures after Halloween. Birthday Party

We had John, Jacob and Alison 4th Birthday party yesterday. It was a big hit and everyone had fun. We would like to thank Aunt Lisa for making the Monkey, Frog and Kitty Cat Cakes for them. They looked wonderful and tasted just as great. They had lots of fun and had lots of friends there. My camera stoped working after taking these pictures. I wish all of you could have came. One another note, I went to my 10 year high school reunion on Saturday and saw a few friends that I had not seen in years. I found out one of them lives down the street from my In-Laws. I was also won the Most Children Award I am very honored. Football is going great and Melvin is enjoying it. I hope everyone is well and if you didnt make it to the party I hope to see you all soon.

FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL

It seems all that I do these days is FOOTBALL!!! Levi is playing in SYA and its such a commitment not just from the kids but also the players. I just cannot believe it. We have practice 3 days a week and a game every Saturday. I am also getting ready for John, Jacob & Alisons birthday party this weekend. I cannot believe that they are 4. Time really flies by when you have kids. All of the kids were a little under the weather the past couple of weeks but we are all well again. I will post some football pics this weekend my camera has been broken now it seems to be working fine. We will see. I will also post some Birthday Pics after the party on Sunday. I will talk to everyone soon.

Lets Play Catch up

I just wanted to get everyone caught up on what we are doing in our life right now. Melvin is going to school everyday for all day long. He loves kindergarten and is loving it he really enjoys it. He got to go to the library yesterday and bring home a library book. He really surprised all of us when he gets home and opens the book and starts telling us about the cover page and the acknowledgement page and title page. He is really smart and loves to play on the computer. Football has started up and he is definitely liking it better this year than last. It is still a big commitment for all of us and some days I just don't want to go. John, Jacob and Alison get to go to School (mothers day out) one day a week on Tuesday. They really love it and so does mommy. I really look forward to having 5 hours all to myself even if it is just once a week. They get to learn, play and really become active with other kids besides each other. John and Jacob are in the same class and Alison is in another they are perfectly fine with that and she doesn't care that the boys are not in the same class as her. This past Tuesday one of the little boys in her class had to give her a hug before she left, I am not sure of his name but I definitely don't look forward to the days when there will be lots of boys. I did not think it would start this early she is only 4. I will keep the blog updated as often as possible.
